5"x5" square oil painting on gessoboard.  I painted this from life.  I was craving radishes and just adore their reddish purply color against the dark green leaves.  Before I nibbled on them, I popped them on a white plate and painted away.  My mother used  have a huge vegetable garden and radishes were one of the veggies she grew.  My Dad used to come home after work on a hot summer day and pluck a few radishes and scallions from the dirt, wash them, salt them and pop them in his mouth.  Yum!
