8"x8" square oil painting on a linen panel  I painted this "en plein air" on a freezing December Saturday morning with the South Jersey Plein Air Painters.  It was so cold that my oil painting was a bit stiff and it there were actually snow flurries during!  We warmed up with a cup of coffee across the street after we finished.  The light was in and out but it was so striking when to came out.  There is nothing like painting form life.  The light, colors and shadows are all so different than a camera can even come close to capturing.
