12"x12" square oil painting on linen mounted to board.  I painted these peonies which I cut from my back yard garden and painted them by my studio window.  Peonies are my favorite flower, are they yours?  They smell like heaven and are so beautiful.  I wish they bloomed longer!  Did you know that when they are buds, ants crawl on the buds and eat the sugar that holds the petals down and as they do that the petals unfold.  So neat how things work in nature.
